Rheumatic diseases cause pain and/or stiffness in the joints, muscles and tendons. Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and diffuse connective tissue diseases (so called collagen diseases) are common and well known. However, over 100 different conditions are included in the rheumatic diseases. For effective and adequate treatment, proper and early diagnosis is essential. Dr. Masashi Akizuki will discuss the management of rheumatic diseases with patients and their family members. We offer medical treatments which are well established and recognized internationally.
